Made in the 70's so it's all discrete inside. It uses the same filter design as the Jupiter-4 and an oscillator section related to the SH-2.

This is a rack pitch to voice synth initially produced for guitarists to run audio in and play a synth with their guitar, but it can actually convert any audio signal into pitched CV, and use the waveform to create an envelope.

It also has its own super tight analog envelopes, CV/Gate in and out for sequencing, and a FX return in case you want to run any effects back into its mixer."

"As a young company from Berlin, E-RM has been very successful on the market of Audio- Synchronization since 2012 with the product midiclock+.

Hence we are very proud to announce you today in the context of Musikmesse 2015 our latest product, the multiclock, a universal time machine that packs a punch!

The E-RM multiclock is a Multi-Format Audio-Sychronizer. It takes care of a high-precision sync between Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs), sequencers, drumcomputers, synthesizers, arpeggiators and modular systems of all kind.

As opposed to other products on the market which use MIDI or USB-MIDI to sync external gear to a DAW, multiclock uses a dedicated audio channel of the computer’s sound card to hook up with. This avoids unintended clock jitter which is inherently available with MIDI Clock and ensures tight sync on a sample-to-sample basis. A specially tailored plugin is used to generate the nescessary signals. The emitted audio clock is received by the multiclock’s audio processor and provided for external gear on four separate output channels in the formats of MIDI, DIN sync, modular clock und analog LFO. This keeps total control over the playback of all outbound gear within the master DAW.

Nevertheless, multiclock may of course also sync to incoming MIDI, DIN sync, modular clock signals or optionally USB-MIDI if nescessary - or even simply be the masterclock itself!

To cope with the delays and start latencies of connected slaves, a calibration by positive or negative time shift is possible separately for each channel. Moreover, every channel has two knobs to shift it further around in realtime and set the amount of shuffle. This ensures the right groove for every pattern.

In order not to constrain the musical capabilities of the connected slaves by simply offering syncronization, multiclock features additionally a MIDI Map&Merge Matrix. This enables the user to route and merge MIDI notes and other controll messages that are received on the MIDI input or the four optionally available USB-MIDI ports to specific outputs. Furthermore, unused clock channels may be used as a MIDI controller.

multiclock will be available from May 2015.

The MRSP is 449 e for the standard version, 519 e with USB.

A matching power supply is naturally included. Colorful caps for all knobs are available on request.

" Up for grabs is a recently finished CGS/Serge DIY panel. It uses the CGS pcbs and a beautiful front panel, designed by nordlead from the muffwiggler synthesizer forum. All modules are in perfect working order. It is in superb cosmetic condition, there are just a couple of tiny marks that would not come out on photos. The slope generators all track a bit more than 2 1/2 octaves with the 1V/Oct input. It is built with nice quality parts including emerson banana jacks, fresnel, Serge type led lenses and knobs with brass inserts. The 'Trig I/O' on the Random Source module is actually just a 'Trig In' for the sample & hold.

It has an MTA connector onboard for power and I will supply a connecting cable with either a Serge style male or female connector, or an MTA156.

Note that there is no enclosure included. Suitable aluminium boats are available in Europe from randomsource.net"

ROLI Unveils Equator - World’s First Cross-Platform Multidimensional Synth Engine

You might remember, back in January, ROLI announced that an alpha version of their new Equator synth engine was available for Seaboard GRAND customers.  That engine was loaded into the Seaboard GRAND for stand alone use.  Unless I am mistaken, it appears ROLI has decided to make the engine available as an OSX stand alone app and plug-in for other multidimensional controllers such as the Haken Continuum, Madrona Labs Sounplane, the Eigenharp, and Roger Linn's Linnstrument as well.

"ROLI unveils Equator: a groundbreaking new way to shape sound

FRANKFURT, Germany – ROLI, the award-winning East London music technology startup and creators of the innovative Seaboard GRAND, today introduced Equator, the world’s first cross-platform multidimensional synth engine.

Over the last several years, a range of electronic musical instruments and controllers have been released that are beginning to bridge the gap between the expressiveness of acoustic sound and the versatility of digital music creation. The Haken Continuum, the Eigenharp, the Soundplane and the Linnstrument are all examples of a new category of multidimensional instruments, each enabling multiple parameters to be controlled polyphonically on a per-note basis.

Equator builds on these innovations, offering for the first time ever a synth engine that has been designed from the ground up to enable multidimensional sound design which can run identical sounds as a standalone OS X application, as a plugin for a suite of industry-standard DAWs, and also on-board each Seaboard GRAND. This unprecedented functionality has been enabled by JUCE, the leading audio C++ framework which ROLI acquired in 2014.

Equator is a delightful way to to shape sound, and paired with Seaboard GRAND it takes multidimensional digital instruments to an entirely new level. Equator also boasts an intuitive interface that makes complex modulations easy to understand and control, and comes with an expansive library of presets, from accurate simulations of acoustic instruments, to synthesised layered effects. This will allow musicians to create their own sound palettes and load these sounds directly onto the Seaboard GRAND, which can now be untethered from a computer for the first time.

From 27th April, 2015, Equator will be made available as a software instrument for Seaboard GRAND owners to use, both as a standalone Mac OS X application and a DAW plug-in. The on-board Equator synthesiser for Seaboard GRAND will be activated on 18th May, 2015 as a standard feature on all new Seaboard GRAND orders. The update will also be supplied to the ever-growing community of Seaboard owners worldwide, via a free firmware upgrade.

Equator will be demonstrated at ROLI’s MusikMesse booth, located in Hall 5.1, booth A61 from Wednesday, 15th April to Saturday, 18th April. Attendees will also have the opportunity of playing and seeing the Seaboard in action, with live demonstrations and performances daily from such artists as Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater), Bill Laurance (Snarky Puppy), Marco Parisi (HEYMAN) and Heen-Wah Wai (ROLI).
