Flame 4VOX- Overview wavetables and menu

Dziam Bass

"Hello Guys.
I have a small overview of one of the 4 wavetable oscillators and the menu in the 4Vox-Quad Polyphonic Wavetbale VCO module from Flame instruments
it's basically an introduction to a further series but you can see how you have 4 voices in one VCO and many wavetables for one voice.
this is a total of x4 wavetables and times 4 Vcos .. that gives you 16 voices polyphony.
this module has some nice functions like octave management, morphing between scales, octaves and wavetables.
two knobs, which can be freely selected pot 1 and 2 for .detune, morphing, amplitube move, chord semitone, portamento etc.
both CVs can also be assigned to morphing wavetebles ,scales , octaves etc from 0 ... to 5v, = / - 2.5v or = / - 5v
for this there are many more functions, but here you have access to the menu"

Model 416 Meta Expander V2

Model 416 Meta Expander V2 from gd2 on Vimeo.
Some Meta Patches on the new Model 416 Meta Expander.

With a surprise ending...

"The Model 416 Meta Expander is a fully-fledged, standalone breakout box for the BEMI/BUSA Music Easel, which provides access to all of the Easel- and Program Card's patch points (effectively doubling the Easel's control voltage possibilities), and greatly extends the Easel's capabilities with useful, built-in modules.

Version 2 is available as either a "full option" build into its own boat, or as a "panel only" version which can be build into exisiting 4U Buchla boats- or cabinets.

The Model 416 Meta Expander communicates bi-directionally with the Easel by means of a custom-designed Edge Card and a 60-pin flat ribbon cable assembly.

A first prototype of a breakout box was developed in early 2014, right after BEMI's new Easel became available. Several iterations and a 2nd Easel later, I developed a one-off Twin Expander -- aptly named the Model 844 Expander (note the willful 208x4 error). After getting quite a few requests from fellow Weaselers, and realizing that it might be a better idea to limit a commercial version of the Expander to a one-Easel configuration, I designed the Model 416 Meta Expander V1, and brought it to market at the end of 2017. This was a one-run-only, build to order project. The last one left July 2018.

Since then I've gotten some more requests, so in August 2019 I decided to design a new version. Rebuilt from the ground-up and adding new features, it took more than half a year to finish. And then -- ready to be released on the 1st of March 2020 -- something weird happened to the planet...

Nevertheless, it's now August 2020, and Version 2 is here.

Eplex7 releases Free Analog Modular FX samples vol.2

Kala PsyMagic

"Free Analog Modular FX Samples Vol 2
All samples are done with modular synthesizer and are exclusif to be on Eplex 7 DSP website.
You can download the package here:"

"Eplex7 DSP has released new collection Vol.2 of Analog Modular FX samples in cooperation with psytrance producer Twisted Kala.

The sample pack contains 38 FX samples made with Analog Modular synthesizer, that are available for free download only at Eplex7 website.

All the package is based on the study how to make drones sounds. It means long fade In or fade Out moving on a really slow rate (or faster rate when the drone becomes a fade In or Fade Out).

These samples are made for producers of any kind of electronic music. They’re also adapted for Trance Music, Psychedelic Music, DarkPsy, Underground Music, Dance Music, Psycore, Hardcore, Dark proggresive …. As there is many different types of FX, drones, fade out and fade In in this package. Some can be used also in video games….

The sounds provide strong emotions to the tracks and work well in initial or final section of a track. Some samples can also feat in slow Fade In, slow Fade out during 4 or 8 beats of a part of the track.

The basis for the creation of sounds is modular synthesizer, that is from a big part made on DIY basis (do it by yourself) from customizable modules with using kits.

909DAY 2020 - Launchpad Pro Finger Drumming Performance

Nular Music

"Happy 909DAY! This is a Launchpad Pro finger drumming performance with some 909 drum sounds.

I started off with a bunch of TR-909 samples from Samples From Mars and turned them into a velocity-layered drum rack in Ableton Live.

I used FXpansion's Cypher2 for the synth; the notes were generated live by my custom Max for Live sequencer.

As always, all played live, no editing or quantisation."

Eurorack Attenuation w/ AJH Synth CV Mix Offset VCA - Demo and Performance

Part 1 here. Additional AJH Synth posts by DreamsOfWires here.

"Second part of an introduction to the modulation section of my AJH Synth Eurorack modular synth, followed by a performance. This time I'm focusing on attenuation with the CV Mix Offset VCA. In the video I'm demonstrating how I use it with an envelope generator and a modulation controller, but it can be equally useful when used with LFOs, or controlled by sequencers, or processing other control voltages. It's a Swiss army knife in 10hp.
The previous video covered the Dual LFO + VCA, and the next one will concentrate on the Sample Hold + Slew module.

I'm not signing in so often now - since recent YouTube changes the site isn't working properly on my iPad and PC, is a pain in the bum to use, and I no longer get notifications of new comments for some reason, so I might be slow to respond to comments.

iceGear Instruments Yukawa - Sequence Delay

iceGear Instruments"

"Yukawa is an AUv3 compatible multi-effector that combines a multi-tap sequence delay that produces a rhythmic phrase in sync with the beat, a modulatable stereo delay, and a DJ mixer style filter.

# Sequence delay
You can set the volume, pan, cutoff frequency, and resonance for each tap of the delay with up to 16 taps that are synchronized to the beat. You can also set the Damp parameter to gradually reduce the high range or low range each time the delay is repeated.

# Stereo delay
A stereo delay with various functions packed into a simple UI. It works not only as a simple stereo delay, but also as a ping-pong delay that produces the effect of sound moving left and right. The delay time can be specified in milliseconds as well as tempo synchronization. By modulation, you can create a modulation effect sound such as chorus. You can also add negative feedback and distortion or noise to the feedback.

# filter
The DJ mixer style filter can control Low Pass and High Pass Filter seamlessly with one knob. The cutoff frequency can be modulated. Also, overdrive can create a distorted filter sound.

# Routing
On the routing setting screen, you can set which signal is sent where and how much.

# Universal App
Compatible with iPad and iPhone, it has multiple screen layouts optimized for different screen sizes.

# Audio Unit Extensions (AUv3)
You can use this AUv3 Plug-In in a host application that supports Audio Unit Extensions (AUv3).

# Audiobus
You can stream live audio directly to any Audiobus compatible application. See for details.

# Ableton Link
It is possible to synchronize tempo and timing not only with applications that support Ableton Link running on the same device but also with applications running on other devices via the local network. In addition to iOS apps, you can also sync with compatible applications on Mac/PC, such as Ableton Live and TRAKTOR. See for details..

# MIDI Inputs
- Core MIDI, Virtual MIDI, Inter-App Audio MIDI Input
- MIDI Clock Syncronization
- MIDI Controller Mapping"

Electrosmith DIY Analog Modular Synthesizer w/ Electrosmith Sub Modules

Ipsum Audio

"This is a homemade analog synth that I've been working on for close to a year now. It is a classic monosynth with 3 oscillators, 1 modulating LFO, and a 24dB/oct VCF. The core modules (VCOs, VCF, VCA) are built on the submodule boards available from Electro-Smith (links below).

The case has ~96HP of Eurorack space, and also houses the Arturia Keystep controller. It is made of poplar with walnut stain. The case is powered by an old Elpac PC power supply that provides +/-12V and +5V."

Roland VM-3100 Mixing Workstation - effects on guitar - a quick jam with SE-02, Volca Sample & Keys

Expanding Sound

"The Roland VM-3100 Mixing workstation is a weird relic of the turn of the century. It's a very early mixer/converter from the early 2000s with some features that make it somewhat out of date. This thing cost 2000 dollars when it came out! Now it can be found for under 200. I was given this mixer by a friend who deemed it to be useless for his new setup. My outlook on gear is that I always think it has a purpose. So after playing some guitar through the built in effects I realized the effects are probably an overlooked section of the mixer. I think they sound really nice! This jam is just me having a little fun trying out the effects on guitar while using the mixer with my Roland SE-02, Volca Keys, and Volca Sample. Im playing a Fender Duo Sonic."
