"After the initial test drive I placed my minilogue just above the KROME 88 and patched to my system including MIDI IN and OUT.
In this video I'm playing minilogue from KROME.
Also trying to MIDI clock sync then both KROME's drum and minilogue's sequencer are synced perfectly."
"First off, this isn't mine; a trusting friend let me borrow it for a few days. Second, out of all the synths I've ever played - from an ARP2600, to a Fairlight CMI IIx, to Eurorack Modulars - this Buchla Music Easel is the most confusing thing I've ever tried to get a sound out of! Really baffling the way it works! This is my first 10 minutes with it, and I almost wasn't going to upload the video, but since I only have it for a few days, I wanted to document my first encounter with it. Hopefully in the next day or two I will have a better demo before I have to give it back..."
"Part One of my overview of the Korg Minilogue. I'll be doing some more musical demos next video. This is dry into the Audient ID22, I normalized the audio to compensate for quieter parts.
"So I'm currently kind of starting a new little project which will be more dark technoish again, even tough I don't know if I'll be able to play it anywhere. And while my XBase is unfortunately broken, I'm using the octatrack as a supplement.
Equipment this time..

Demo of the original Roland Promars. Its excellent sound qualities can not be really simulated by software. The original hardware Promars is soundwise not comparable with the new "plugout" software.
I played the Roland Promars with reverb effects from a Lexicon MPX-500 and delay effects from a Korg SDD-3000.
The Roland Promars is a programmable monophonic analog synth. Basically it's a monophonic version of the Roland Jupiter-4. But on the Promars, you have 2 VCO's per voice, not 1 VCO like on the Jupiter. VCO 2 is always identical to VCO 1 except tuning (same volume, same suboscillator, same waveform).
2 VCOs, 2 suboscillators, 24 dB lowpass filter, non resonant highpass filter, 2 envelopes, noise generator, extremely fast LFO with many waveforms, 8 memory locations to store own sounds and a powerful classic Roland sound makes the Promars a great synthesizer."
"Bassline was constructed using Medic Cranial Saw and Rubicon into the Minimod voice (VCF-EGs-VCA) sequenced by Audio Damage Sequencer 1
West Coast generative sequence was produced using Sequencer 1 to modulate Wogglebug's clock and Woggle's stepped out to modulate Rene's pattern. The voice involved one channel of the Optomix receiving shape modulated STO and the other receiving through zero FM signals from the Rubicon folded through the Nonlinear Circuits Timbre, both enveloped by Make Noise Maths.
The pitch-less howling voice is a cross mod between the two Sputniks through the Timbre and the Optomix (again, Maths). The random gate out on Wogglebug is used to piss off the 4ms PEG's action toggle which is feeding CV to the additional CV in on one of the swarming beehives...erm Sputniks

"This cheerful little tune was done entirely with sounds only from Mutable Instruments Shruthi-1 synthesizers. The original sketch for this song had more of a chip-tune / arcade game theme style, but it turned into kind of an electronic pop / trance track in the end.
I am selling one of my Shruthis (with a 4 Pole Mission filter board), so I wanted to record one song that showcases this fun little synth before I give it away. There is one pad sound, for which I sampled the notes from a Shruthi with a SSM2044 filter board. All other sounds, including drums and FX, are from the 4 Pole Mission Shruthi.
Multitracked on a BOSS BR-600 without MIDI, then mixed with Tracktion 6 DAW on Linux. The drum sounds and a pad where sampled from the Shruthi and then sequenced in the DAW.
Effects used: Delay and Chorus from the BR-6000, Calf Vintage Delay, zita-reverb, ZamComp, Tracktion Chorus and EQ.
"The Stratus is a 6-note polyphonic analog that uses the highly popular CEM chips that have also been used in other popular synths of the time including Jupiters, OB-X synths, Prophets—even modern Dave Smith Instruments. The Stratus has a total of two oscillators (DCOs), and they’re fed through divide-down ICs, just like an organ or string machine. The oscillators offer saw and square waveforms, or a mix of the two, and a mono/unison mode. The two oscillators can be tuned separately and synced. A unique option is the "Alternate Saw/Sq" mode which alternates the voices between square and sawtooth waveforms—play a chord and some voices will be square, others will be saw, or bang out a solo and each note will be a different waveform—definitely unique but maybe not always practical."
"My friend brought his Pro-2 over. We decided to have some fun. We use the Pro-2's OSC's and sequencer. The Pro-2 is also controlling the modular synthesizers envelopes and Q960 sequencer. We filter the Pro-2 thru the modular. The modular synth also makes the kick drum as well as trigger the Korg MS20 which is making the snare drum"

"Bass Station II & Clouds Parasite - Oliverb mode
Easy to install - great to use!
I just wanted to make a short video to show my friend how to enter in Parasite modes. I ended a little bit later. It sounded too good to stop!
Also, I really wanted to pass once more the BSII through Clouds - I missed this! www.albaecstasy.ro"
This one spotted by creekreee who had the following to say:
"The Futurama Facebook page posted a short video called 'Happy backwards day'. This is essentially the intro to each show, with a special intro music that was used on only one episode.
The video is horizontally mirrored, thus the caption, which is unique for each episode, is not as easily readable.
I took a screenshot and mirrored it again - and guess what?
The caption says
Futurama: Moogfest
as
Simpsons: Hapsichordfest"
I found that interesting and thought I´d share it with you. (I guess there is a typo in there.. 'as' should probably read 'vs')"

"The Creamware Prodyssey ASB is a highly accurate digital re-creation of the ARP Odyssey. It not only re-creates the sound of the the original Odyssey, but recreates the control panel too. Playing and programming this synth really feels like using an analog synthesiser, but with added benefits such as 12-note polyphony and MIDI control.
Probably one of the best and most sought-after vitual analog synths ever made."
"It was about time for a brand new synth demo! This time it's the Korg X5. All sounds including drums are from the X5 with some added external delay or reverb and compression.

"Aram Khachaturian's beautiful 'Adagio' from Gayane's Ballet.
Mostly famous from it's use in Kubrick's '2001-A Space Odyssey' in the voyage to Jupiter sequence.
The large format 5U modular synthesizer is played live with a midi file from Cubase.
Three voices are sequenced by a MOTM 650 and Synthesizers.com Q104. Each voice consists of a full resonant filter with other vco's stacked and blended behind the filter sine waves. The lower third voice is a MosLab 901 suite with Oakley Discontinuity and Q106 through a MosLab 904 Moog ladder. The upper two voices are Q106's through a Suit&Tie Guy Post-Lawsuit Low Pass and an Oakley SVF in low pass.
The atmospheric noise behind the voices is a patch mixture of pink noise and ring-modulated pitches from the lower voice. The pitch tuning is purposefully skewed off-pitch to rise and fall between the two ring modulated vco's (SSL 1200 & 1130 DDVCO). They are sent through a MOTM 440 VCF which is also highly resonant with pitched FM. Then on to the Encore frequency shifter which is again pitch shifted via the note data from the lower voice sequence pattern. The finish of the patch is a two channel separation of the Up and Down outputs of the Encore FS into a Modcan 73B dual delay.
A final addition of Valhalla Shimmer is applied to the atmospheric patch in Cubase. Other delays to the main voices are two Lexicon dual reverb/delays and a TCElectronics D-Two.
All recorded in one pass at once. Thanks for listening and reading along."
"Patch Based Around Mutable Instruments Rings and Noise Engineering Variatic Erumption.
Sequencing:
Sound Machines DC-1 as master clock supplies 4MS QCD. Clock divided and fed to VE hit inputs/clock, Qu-bit Nano Rand, Modcan Quad LFO & SSF Ultra Random. VE Channel 1 clocks Modcan Touch Sequencer. Channel 2 to Nord Drum for Percussion. End of sequence from Channel 2 chokes channel 1. Channel 2 is choked by by Random gates from Qu-bit Nano Rand. Stepped output from Ultra Random to pattern input of VE.
Modcan Touch pitches Mutable Rings, strum input on Rings from Randomised trigger output on DC-1 (density populated by SSF random output). Extra triggers provided by DC-1. Tiny Hats sequenced by cv’d QCD output.
Sounds:
Custom Percussion created on Nord Drum 2. Rings as Lead/Bass.Pad created by mutable braids (swarm model) through Addac 601 and filtered. Bands cv’d by Modcan Quad LFO. Noise Risers by SSF Quantum rainbow (white noise) and processed by Modcan dual delay. Hi pitched drone made from frozen chord in Mutable clouds. Pitched sounds made from Make Noise phonogene modulated by SSF URA with a very high grain rate and shifted by QCD. Tiny hats SSF QR (purple noise) through Intelligel HexVCA. Simple melody from ALM Akemie’s Castle with two mixed sine waves mixed and phased to give slight chorus effect. Multiplier cv’d by SSF URA stepped output to create random pitches. Stabs made from custom samples created for Music Thing Radio module, randomly cv’d and triggered by Make noise LXD. Output then fed to Qu-bit RT-60. This is randomly sequenced with triggers and delay is added by Modcan Dual Delay.
Mixing:
8 channels output to Soundcraft Mixer (one channel on mixer used live to fade). Eventide Space on Send. Mixed panned, fed through Logic to record, PSP vintage warmer strapped to master bus to glue things together.
Equipment:
All Eurorack modules except Nord Drum 2 and Eventide space :)"
Russ Hoffman, of Evaton Technologies, recently gave a Synth DIY workshop at West Liberty University. Students learned how oscillators and filters work, while constructing a reduced version of the Evaton Technologies SDIY MDRONE kit. "This is a collaboration between the guys at Monome and Ezra Buchla. The Monome website describes it as," powerful audio processor, synthesizer, noise machine, rapidly modifiable instrument. a platform for experimental practice and organic discovery." "This is a demo of the now legendary, long-out-of-circulation Endangered Audio Research AD4096 Analog Delay, with the Funk Box TR-606 running through it. Very few videos show what the AD4096's Infinity Mode is useful for, which is crazy to me, because I feel like that's the best, most unique part of this pedal. Infinity Mode can be tuned to creep on the edge of self-oscillation in a really organic way. New signal pushes old signal out - and in that way it's almost like a looper, or even a tape bleed emulator.
Although a guitar pedal, mixing artists contact us all the time to tell us how they use the AD4096 on drum busses - especially for dub music! I think the AD4096 is killer on drums. You can get a really loose spring-reverb-like tone from short delays.
The Momentary Expand switch shorts the Depth pot and sends it into self-oscillation - the faster the clock speed (the Time knob turned to the right - "backwards" of how most pedals work), the faster it will run wildly into speaker-blasting range. However, with Infinity Mode engaged, you don't get the ever-louder-and-louder signal - it's "limited" because the new incoming signal pushes out the old. Also, if the Depth is turned all the way down, it becomes a momentary off switch.
The Delay line is a more traditional dark, fat analog delay sound, whereas the Echo line has a elevated, rarefied glittery tone. It's almost like an LPF and an HPF line. It also arrives just barely later than the Delay line. It overdrives beautifully, and thanks to its FET transistors, it has an almost tube-like breakup. The combination of these characteristics, along with the totally unique Infinity Mode, makes this the most tonally flexible and musically useful analog delay pedal ever made.
We get almost daily emails about these pedals at Endangered Audio Research. This unit is going to be donated to Oberlin College's TIMARA program when I'm done making demo videos for it, so don't bother trying to buy it from me. We are going to add more delay time with an aftermarket mod that will be available to the public, but first, I'm making a bunch of videos with different sound sources to show what the original sounds like.
EAR is also making a new, updated version of this later this year with expanded functionality, but gotta love the original unit - named one of the best 30 guitar effects in the world by Premier Guitar Magazine.
I don't deal in unprocessed, "clean" demos, because I don't believe it shows you more about the effect you're using. Nothing exists in a vacuum, especially music.

"The Moog booth at the 2016 Winter NAMM show celebrated the first major Moog 'Happening', The Island Of Electronicus.
Conceived and organized in the early 70's by Moog marketing guru, David Van Koevering (pictured above), The Island of Electronicus was presented as a mind-expanding series of immersive electronic events held on an island off the coast of Florida. Inspired by Van Koevering's event, the Moog Island of Electronicus encouraged visitors to 'come together in an immense creative explosion of thought & feeling.'
Special thanks to Carlos and the crew at The Echo Park Cactus Store for adorning our island with a sublime collection of entrancing desert plants, and to illustrator Kyle Platts for his ingenious Mother-32 inspired drawings.
For those of you who could not make it out to this year's NAMM show, please enjoy these photos from the event."
"This is a Moon Modular 505 VCF in self-resonance being controlled by a 569 sequencer and the passed through a Strymon BigSky 100% wet. Clock clip courtesy of www.pond5.com
I was doing some testing on the M505 and had left this patch going while I was doing other things and kind of liked it in the background so I recorded it for a while and decided to throw a few minutes of it up on YouTube for the heck of it. ;-)"
"What I love about the Hordijk Rungler is its ability to focus on a set of constrained semi-chaotic patterns that bring life and breath to the patch. In this patch the Rungler is going to the -24db Filter for the percussive layer and also going to the Twinpeaks Filter for the S&H timbral shifts and drone. This is a self-generating patch I’m only, first fading in the percussive layer, then fading in the Twinpeaks layer. Love how the accent/rhythm patterns change so organically. Enjoy! for better audio: http://soundcloud.com/user7621213/

"This video is a primer on Flipflop Memory - flipflops are the smallest unit of memory possible - it's either a one or a zero. Each time a flipflop is pinged by the Midi button, it reverses its state (it flipflops!).
With this setup, you can change 8 different parameters on or off with just one button and one knob.
The fundamentals laid out here are necessary for understanding how to make the *very* complex sequencers and pseudo-computers that are possible within Audulus.
The 2 Minute Tip series breaks apart topics on Audulus into bite-sized chunks. I don't talk during the tutorials (though there are a few notes that pop up), and this is so that international viewers who don't understand English well don't feel left out. Familiarize yourself with the node menu and my navigation won't be so mystifying. In the future, we'll develop a finger press indicator so you can see where I'm tapping.

Electone E 75 Bass and string sounds
Published on Feb 3, 2013 electone75
"Some bass and string sounds from the Yamaha Electone E 75. If you recognize some melody from GroBschnitt Solar Music you might be right.....
My iPhone does not manage the bass sounds correctly... The sound comes from the E 75, TM5 cabinet and also through a keyboardamplifier with an EHX Small Stone pedal."
"This synth looks like an organ but in fact shares most of the voice cards of the Yamaha GX-1 and CS-80, which currently go for ($300,000+ and $25,000+ respectively). I have to sell this due to moving.
The Yamaha E70 is the more well known model, but the E75 adds the well-known string sounds from the CS-80. This is the only one E75 I've ever seen for sale in Australia.
The other amazing thing about this synth is the presets on all voice cards are controlled by simple resistors. To make each voice fully programmable just replace resistors with potentiometers. Here's the guide to do it.
The synth works perfectly except there is a stuck note on the foot pedals (deep bass). This can be turned off and it still played (including with bass). The stuck note is a common problem and will be a damaged diode or resistor on the bass foot pedal CV controller.
Cosmetically it's in excellent condition, with 3 blemishes shown in the pics which should be straight-forward to fix. The listing includes the foot pedals, they're just not attached at the moment (they're in the last pic)..."
"For sale is a wonderful vintage Korg MiniPops Junior analogue drum machine in nearly mint condition – it works perfectly, sounds absolutely awesome, and even comes in its original box! It has a punchy, warm transistor tonality with a massive hefty kick drum. There are ten onboard preset patterns, some of which are very usable indeed (the Rock, Mambo and Latin are my particular favourites); the kit pieces played in the patterns comprise Kick, Snare, Hats, and high and low percussion (kind of agogo-style).
It has a standard quarter-inch jack output so is ready to plug straight into your rig, and you could either use the patterns as-is or sample them and chop them up in your DAW (which is a great way to isolate the component kit pieces and have fun with them).
The physical condition of the machine is amazing given its age: very, very little wear is visible. The veneer is unchipped, the front fascia is bright and smooth without scratches, and the start-stop lever is intact (often these got snapped off); please take a look at the photos to see how well preserved this is for an old piece of kit. The sound too is spot on: no crackles or issues, the patterns are punchy and tight, bass extension is wonderful... it sounds great :-) I've never seen a piece of vintage kit in quite as good shape as this – definitely collector's grade."

Ok, this is the second album treatment.. not finished in any way, just a jam session so please give your input as usual :) It might not even end up on the album if its not good enough. And YES, you hear some hiss, its the Jomox t-resonator, its getting much worse, dunno whats going on... this can be fixed on the 16 track recording i have done by separating stuff and using noise gates etc... so. "Inspired from an 'anything can be a drone' kind of discussion, this demo uses Disting in clocked delay mode to transmute random speech outbursts from a Radio Music (out of shot).
The delay is clocked into audio rates by a Quadra slope.
Delay output goes through a LP filter which at times is being FMed by Generator 1 on the Dual.. The folded Generator 2 is added to the mix in the later stages. Hall reverb from Eventide Space.
All recorded direct to camera."

"This is a simple demonstration of the basic functions of the Spline node. One of my favorite things to do with a Spline is to take its output, multiply it a little, and then run that output into a Quantizer module and then into a synthesizer (thanks user JDRaoul for coming up with this technique). It allows for quick, on-the-fly melody generation that really natural.

The waveforms range from broken classics to the unorthodox and nasty reflecting Russell’s unique sound.
The drum voice consists of 3 parts; a digital noise source with controllable frequency and release time, a wavetable oscillator with start and end frequency settings together with a variable rate (and release time, and finally a mix and tone control for the audio output. All settings, bar the tone control, are both direct and voltage controllable.
The drum voice includes a trigger input as well as accent and choke trigger inputs to add further expressive and rhythmic control.

"This is my Anyware Tinysizer analog modular synthesizer.
Not too many of these around.
Comes with stand, power supply, patch wires, and an LED lamp (to see the tiny writing!)
The Tinysizer is like having a full wall of modular synthesis in a footprint about the size of a laptop! (10" x 13")
What would this cost to do with Eurorack (with case)?
