Korg SQ-10 Analog Sequencer

via this auction

"Great old school sequencer from Korg. Designed for the MS series synthesizers and using Korg's CV / Gate control the SQ-10 sequencer can really surprise you with some groovy basslines. Three channel output allows pitch, tone color and timing variation. Use the knobs to adjust and build up a sequence.

12 steps per channel (max 24)

NOVATION XIO-SYNTH Analog Style Pads

Published on Apr 23, 2017 TheXcee

"A few of my own user sounds of the XIO-SYNTH.
The point here are more pad sounds i made.
XIO´s base waveforms are complete analog modeled, so it´s a blaze to create warm shiny wide analog style pads for this synth.
In my opinion the XIO_SYNTH shines specially with its tasty filter emulation.
For that, my congratulation NOVATION !

Besides that the Xio is a very versatile synth.
The recordings were made directly from its Line outs.
FX´s are also the Xio-Synth ones.

I´m very lucky with my XIO-SYNTH, this machine delivers a quick edit and a bunch of functions to modulate the sound in wide ranges.
Also the long tradition of Novation for building very good sounding polysynths leads to this marvelous machine.

The XIO-SYNTH...nowadays cheap, but still good!

ok electro-dudes, have fun ! Cheers, THEXCEE."

"The upper Sub 37 sequencer is driving the Model 15 and the lower Sub 37. Adjustments to the lower Sub 37 are to the ARP and latch controls on the Arpeggiator panel. Switching the ARP on brings on the 'rumble' at 1.23. At 2.09 the latch is also engaged. The harmonic patterns return when both are switched off again. The main adjustments made on the Model 15 are to the octave of Oscillator 2. The Model 15 contributes a triangular, a sawtooth, and a square wave to the mix."

ūüéõ️ No Dub Techno Session #2 | electribe sampler | Korg Volca Bass & Volca Beats

Published on Apr 23, 2017 taschenrechnermusikant

"Live played session using an Korg electribe sampler, a Korg Volca Beats and a Volca Keys. The electribe sampler is used to sequence the Volca Bass via MIDI. The Volca Beats is used for the drums and is synced via click to the electribe sampler, which also is running some drum loops. The electribe sample genrates some chords sounds. And there is a mp3-player using the audio-in of the electribe with the sample from the beginning and an endless pad sound.

All gears are connected to a Behringer DDM 4000 Mixer which ads some delay effects. And last but not least the Volca Beats runs thru a Nux Time Core Delay effect unit.

Also used a MIDI controller for part volumes of the the Korg Volca Sample and of the Korg electribe sampler.

midiFILTr-PG Probability Gate MIDI Filter Effect for iOS

Published on Apr 23, 2017 Art Kerns Music + Apps

"This is a demo of the midiFILTr-PG probability gate MIDI effect for iOS. Use with Audiobus 3 or configure manually with CoreMIDI. Works on both iPhone and iPad, available now in the app store"

iTunes: midiFILTr-PG Probability Gate MIDI Effect - Arthur Kerns

"midiFILTr-PG is a Probability Gate MIDI effect designed for Audiobus 3 but also usable with CoreMIDI. midiFILTr-PG listens to MIDI input and based on random chance mutes some of the incoming notes to make a busy, repetitive stream of notes a little more interesting and sparser. It has four modes:

Gate Mode - One set percentage to be muted for all notes. Also includes Gate On Repeats (when a note passes through unmuted, also pass through X more notes after) and Gate Off Repeats (when a note does not pass through the gate, also mute the next X notes) to make things a little more interesting.

Note Mode - Each note in the scale (C, C#, D etc) has its own percentage chance to mute incoming notes.

Sequencer Mode - Every eight notes has a different percentage chance to be muted. Can also change the sequence length to be less than eight.

Thru Mode - Nothing is muted, normally not used but there if you need it.

If midiFILTr-PG is inserted as an Audiobus 3 MIDI effect it should be setup and work automatically. If you wish to use it without Audiobus you can toggle the CoreMIDI input and output and use it that way."

Re-Badged Rheem Kee Bass NDK Kee Boo Vintage 60's Analog Bass Synth / Organ

via this auction

Note this is the first time, this specific model has been featured here on MATRIXSYNTH. Curious bit of synth history. There have only been two other NDK posts before this.

"For sale is a rare NDK 'Kee Boo' a variant of the Rheem Kee Bass Analog Bass Organ. Both share an identical circuit, only differences are the Black Sparkle opposed to Red Swirl and Boost knob instead of slider. This Kee Bass was recently serviced and had new precision locking tuning pots installed as some of the original pots had become faulty. The original power cord pocket shows No signs of damage, and the original power cord has had some hot glue added to reinforce the joints against pulling wear. The Tolex is in great shape. The plastic red jewel that cover the bulb is broken. The bulb itself is fine though. The chrome bulb surround is included along with the NDK badge that was originally glued over the words "Kee Bass" on the rear plate. Ready to play for many years to come! Extremely low sub bass, fantastic for Dub and electronic."

MPC ELECTRONICS MPC-1 MUSIC PERCUSSION COMPUTER

via this auction

"Superb analogue drum machine dating from c1983. In excellent condition and working order following an extensive professional service.

These are uncommon in any condition, but this only the second example we've seen that works as it should. It's a ground-breaking historic analogue drum synth with onboard sequencer, designed to link up with either a Sinclair ZX81 (UK) or Timex 1000 (USA) personal computer to provide computer-programmed beats for the first time ever.

This example is in excellent condition - it has a few minor scuffs and dings as you would expect but it is looking great for its age.

Functionally it's in great working condition and it's wonderful to finally be able to program one of these machines - we've had several over the years, but most fail to retain programmed sequences for more than a bar or two before crashing. We must add the caveat that as this machine is based on ancient computer technology, we can only offer limited guarantees as to its future operating state: it works now, but we can't offer any extended warranty beyond a guarantee that it will arrive in working order: if there is any problem at all on delivery, please email us immediately.

Capable of a range of quality analogue drum synth sounds and, being one of the less-common and seldom-used drum synths, it immediately has an appeal if you're looking to stand out from the crowd.

This English drum synth/computer, designed in 1981 by Clive Button and launched to great acclaim a year or so later, was revolutionary but alas very short-lived; there are few surviving examples to be found in any state, let alone good working order. Originally used by Depeche Mode, the MPC-1 failed to replicate their successes and hit the big time and sank without trace, unlike its later namesake - Roger Linn's famed MPC series (no connection). It has an 8 bit processor and a massive 4kb of onboard memory to store programmed beats - these can be loaded/dumped via the tape in/out interface (not tested).

ROLAND SH-09 CLASSIC ANALOG MONOSYNTH

via this auction

"Up for sale is our Classic Roland SH09 Analog Synth. This to me as well as many others is far superior in sheer tone compared to the more popular SH101. The oscillator section and filter section sound every bit as powerful and huge as our Roland System 100 Modular. Its a sound that no other synth can do. It may be limited but it makes up for that in the biggest basses and leads.. not to mention the craziest efx. It looks fantastic as it has never been gigged and it all works and sounds great!"

"If you like my stuff, please support me on http://music.ollilab.com/

Hey hey !! time for a little intermission.. I was in the studio fiddling around a bit with a new pedal that I got today, Keeley Engineering caverns which I had planned to use on the KORG minilogue.. so I just thought to give it a quick testrun.. said and done. I did a few sounds and programmed some electronic drums just because it felt fun then the ms-20 got hooked up and sequenced by the SQ-1, and this four note melody just happened.. and.. off we go

Piano sound on reface CP + eventide space reverb, and red panda particle, ms-20 with some really wow and fluttery tape delay on the el capistan, dreadbox erebus does the main lead w NLA1 as keyboard only going through the catalinbread and strymon bluesky on a modulated reverb. The minilogue is drumming through the Keeley engineering delay/reverb. You can also hear some old noises and vocals that are chopped up in the microgranny..

Live as always straight into 2 track, hope you like it :)

Cheers !"
